Our current Services and Maintenance fees at December 2018 cover all costs except phone, computer, Content Insurance, electricity and gas. These are only $86.99 per week or $76.00 if eligible for pension rebate. This is substantially less than rates charged by commercial retirement villages and are also much lower than council and water rates for your own home, home insurance, gardening and general maintenance costs.

We can do this because we are a not-for-profit organisation.

In addition there is no stamp duty payable on either going in or out of St John’s Close.

On termination there are not outgoing costs at all, in fact we repay the full ingoing (currently $540,000) plus 20% of any increase in value of the property. If prices have fallen in the same period you only have to bear 20% of the reduction.
