Our Facilities

St. John’s has the following spaces for use by the church community. Some of these spaces are available for rental.

Rennovated to improve lighting, include airconditioning - but maintaining a bright, airy feel.

The new kitchen adjoins the Narthex and is connected by a servery. The new entry connects the Narthex to the kitchen, toilets and updated hall.

The Pickford Hall

The updated hall is connected to the new kitchen by a large servery. It is a clean, bright airy space suited to many types of events.

The Pickford hall has been extensively renovated with a new floor, windows, ceiling, lights and heating. It is a flexible and attractive space for larger events.

St John's Chapel

The chapel is a light and airy space for worship.

The main church: a light and commodious modern worship space with a side chapel for smaller services or prayer. An electronic keyboard and pipe organ are available for music.
The Narthex: this space immediately adjoins the main church and contains a full-immersion font. This heated and carpeted area is used for a range of parish activities including morning tea, parish meals, and some children's activities.
The Cooper Centre: this is a small separate building with carpeting, air conditioning and a small kitchenette. The Cooper Centre is used for playgroups, children's activities, and as a general meeting room. It is suitable for small groups and available for rent. Currently, Reading Bees Bentleigh enhanced learning program for 3 to 9 year olds is being conducted here, Wednesdays to Fridays. For further information please contact Reading Bees HERE.
The Pickford Hall: a large, newly-renovated church hall, with access to a new kitchen and servery. There is also a separate meeting room with kitchenette. These spaces are available for rent.

Rental

The church, narthex, and hall spaces are all available for hire.

The Pickford Hall has been fully renovated with new floors, windows, and heating with access to a new kitchen and to modern bathrooms. It is available for daytime or evening rental to community users and commercial renters. Current tenants include dance classes.

St. John’s Narthex, the Cooper Centre and a meeting room are also available to rent. The Cooper Centre and meeting room both include a small kitchenette, and have access to standalone bathroom facilities. The Narthex has access to a new kitchen and modern bathrooms.
