Supporting the Wider Community

Dixon House: We collect food for the Dixon House emergency food relief program. 
At Christmas we collect for Christmas hampers for families in need.

Asylum Seeker Resource Centre: Donations are collected here for the ASRC, and each month, the theme of each item varies, for instance, during April we are accepting vegetable oil.

Hope for Glen Eira: We were participants in the Hope for Glen Eira Food Drive, organised by Ormond Anglican Church. 

Kids Hope: Our parish participates in Kids Hope at a local primary school, with volunteers providing one-on-one mentoring for kids at risk. 

Derek and Rosemary Snibson, CMS Missionaries: We are sponsoring Derek and Rosemary Snibson who are working in the Northern Territory training Aboriginal leaders to help train others in Aboriginal communities.

Spaces for Local Community Groups:

St John’s has a number spaces for use by the church and wider community: the main worship area, the chapel, narthex, Cooper Centre and hall. Some of these spaces are available for rental, learn more....
